It's the choice of a lifetime & I'm almost sureI will not live my life in between anymoreIf I can't be certain of all that's in store This far it feels so right I will hold it up hold it up to the light,Hold it up to the light, hold it up to the light The search for my future has brought me hereThis is more than I'd hoped for, but sometimes I fearThat the choice I was made for will someday appearAnd I'll be too late for that flightSo hold it up hold it up to the light,Hold it up to the light, hold it up to the light I said God, will you bless this decision?I'm scared. Is my life at stake? But I know if you gave me a visionWould I never have reason to use my faith? Now as soon as I'm moving my choice is goodThis way comes through right where I prayed that it wouldIf I keep my eyes open and look where I shouldSomehow all of the signs are in sight If I hold up the lightIt's too late to be stopped at the crossroadsEach life here and each a possible wayBut wait and they all will be lost roadsEach path's growing shorter the longer I stay I was dead with deciding and afraid to chooseI was mourning the loss of the choices I'd loseBut there's no choice at all if I don't make my moveAnd trust that the timing is rightI will hold it up, hold it up to the lightHold it up to the light, hold it up to the light. -Smalltown Poets, "Hold it up to the Light" See you in Amsterdam!

I spent this past weekend with my two best friends from high school. We all attended the wedding of another friend from high school. I've had a lot of friends get married, but this is the first of my good friends from high school so it was kind of weird. The wedding was beautiful and we all had a great time catching up with one another. Saturday is the release of the final Harry Potter Book. I will probably do nothing all weekend except read it. I don't think I've ever been quite so excited about a book. I've already claimed the first read from the rest of my family. I leave for Amsterdam in 3 weeks. That's really weird to think about. This summer has gone by a lot faster than I ever expected. Today I finally got around to repainting all the interior trim in our house. I'm not finished yet, but I did the whole upstairs. I hadn't done any painting since "A Clown's Play" so it was kind of fun. I always did prefer painting over building.

The wedding went well in Nashville and I had a good time catching up with old friends. This past Saturday I went down to Charleston with my parents. We went and visited some places we'd never gone before which was fun. This weekend I'm going up to Columbia on friday to stay with my best friends from hihg school and then Saturday we're driving to Clemson for the wedding of one of our other friends from high school. It should be quite a nostalgic weekend. I have 1/3 of the funds needed from the 10 months in Amsterdam and I have all the paperwork I need to get there. I still have to apply for a work permit when I arrive, but I've done everything I can do from this end. AND tonight at 11:59 pm my brother and I are going to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix!" Oh and my dog, Shadow, has started following me around the house this summer and he smells really bad. I'm thinking of renaming him, Stinky. I wonder if you can Febreeze a dog?
